About Amanda

Jigsaw Communications founder Amanda Cobb grew up around the go-karting tracks of Queensland, first watching her dad take to the track before pulling on a helmet herself at age 11, racing on both dirt and bitumen until the age of 21. While always a ‘middle of the pack’ racer, a love of motorsport had been born and Amanda set her mind to studying PR with the ultimate goal of being the media manager for the Gold Coast Indy.

Just twelve months after graduating with distinction from QUT, Amanda landed this dream job as part of the team at leading motorsport PR agency BAM Media, where she was the media manager for the Gold Coast Indy (also known as the SuperGP and the Gold Coast 600) in 2008, 2009 and 2010 as well as for Queensland’s premier drag racing facility Willowbank Raceway, as well as other motorsport clientele.

A stint in corporate communications followed for 2011, but it was not long before a freelance career beckoned with motorsport again calling, eventually leading to the establishment of Jigsaw Communications in 2012.

When working with Amanda, you work with someone who knows your story, who values straight-talking, and refuses to buy-in to the ‘glitter-covered’ PR professional stereotype. A down-to-earth attitude, quick-response approach and a commitment to
getting sh*t done prevails, always.
